Rubik's Cube - solved

Wow.

"With about 35 CPU-years of idle computer time donated by Google, a team of researchers has essentially solved every position of the Rubik's Cube, and shown that no position requires more than twenty moves."

This is not as trivial as it might sound; there are 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 different 'positions' in total!

I can think of some more important things to do with 35 CPU-years of idle computer time.

What about the 7x7, imagine the man hours that would take? (Which Paul just completed on holiday - and I was suitably impressed).
